After listening to Phil Spencer expressing how he ‘felt good after the PS5 show’ and Aaron Greenberg consistently generating excitement and buzz around the event, all signs pointed towards the Xbox Games Showcase showing off next generation of gaming backed by the world’s most powerful console. With Microsoft’s third-party ‘gameplay’ fumble and Sony’s PS5 reveal being the most watched gaming livestream in history, now was the time to shake off negativity and rally gamers around their platform. Sadly, this wasn’t the case, and it was obvious from the get go.

“We’ve convinced ourselves that power is more important than talent. All that power in the Series X is meaningless if you don’t have the talent to back it up.”
