Imagine for a moment moving through a level, defeating enemies and finding treasures until you discover a new technique. Or a new weapon, or tool. All of a sudden you realize this discovery can help you in a world you have been to before and in a moment, without the use of a hub world or warp zone, you move to that world. The rifts shown off in this new Ratchet & Clank title and how they move from locale to locale seamlessly inspires a great deal of potential, especially when it comes to innovating the core gameplay experience. Whatever the case, this display is incredibly impressive and shows that this machine is more than just a vessel for 4K graphics technology.
