Come on in and hang out with us as we look through the highlights for the first week of June. I picked out Slaughter Void, an absolutely nuts hotline miami-like, Steve sent over Lucha Chess, and Andy is bringing it up the rear with Remorses.

Check out all these and more below!

Freefall ’95 | June 1st
S-Bend Games

Chain massive trick combos, dodge deadly debris, and chase huge scores in this fast-paced arcade adventure. Earn coins, upgrade abilities, collect rare items, and uncover a wild time-bending narrative aboard this doomed flight in the year 1995. Freefall ’95  is a fast-paced, arcade-like, falling-from-the-sky simulator where you take on the role of the sole survivor of a mid-air disaster as they plummet towards the earth. While falling you can combine radical tricks, dangerous stunts and collect falling items to build up huge scores all while dodging dangerous debris and other hazards.

While on the plane, you can interact with fellow passengers, buy useful items with your hard-earned coins and take on quests to discover what might be causing this aviation nightmare. Inspired by games like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, SSX Tricky and other classic extreme sports games, it takes the player back with a heavily ’90s-flavoured art style and soundtrack.

Twistedline Games

Remorses is a slow burning horror experience. A heart-aching journey where tension builds gradually. The year is 1991 in Rivervalley, Lakota Territory. It is known for its history, and for people going missing recently. Not long ago, rumors of witchcraft began to spread. Stories like these have surfaced before in Rivervalley. You play as Jake Lepistow, an investigator from Beaver Hills, Minnesota. He’s used to chasing legends and supernatural occurrences without ever having to face consequences. When a series of strange disappearances and hints of witchcraft reach him, he turns his attention to his next investigation.

Open windows to breathe fresh air to manage your sanity. Ignoring this simple necessity has serious consequences when a disturbing force messes with your mind. It is one of your only tools for survival. Learn terrifying witchcraft, explore atmospheric environments, and hunt for ingredients to brew a potion against the malevolence. Navigate a mix of logic, visual, and auditory puzzles to uncover the mansion’s secrets. Featuring a fully original soundscape from the sound designer of Outlast and the composer of Visage.

Slaughter Void | June 3rd
Dread Night

SLAUGHTER VOID is a brutal  heavy metal dark fantasy slasher where speedrunning meets blood-spattered dark fantasy. Built around tight handcrafted levels, lethal combat, and constant forward pressure, it throws you into a savage run through cults, beastmen, necromancers, and broken realms inspired by 80s arcade action and retro fantasy paperbacks.

Carve through packed enemies in wide, bloody sweeps, crush anything in your path with brutal forward charges. Hook into prey and drag yourself straight into the kill before the first body hits the floor. Secondary weapons let you kill beyond arm’s reach, while relics change what your body can do: stronger kicks, reflected shots, explosive force, and second chances when the Void should have taken you. The right build does not just help you survive – it lets you reach maximum slaughter.

Alruna: End of History | June 4th
Neckbolt

Alruna, sweet Alruna, can you feel the emptiness? What little remains of the material world has long since been hollowed out by the Necro-Industrialists. All that’s left now is … salvation? Enlightenment in the age of consumption. The race towards heaven is on, and the flower-nymph Alruna has to confront the macabre and masochistic martyrdom of her fellow dryad Divinity’s Creature. Life is suffering, but suffering brings sainthood. Beyond the End of History lies the promise of Elysium. I am Heaven’s Gate, Alruna. Will you come inside?

Alruna’s move-set is more expressive than ever. Super-jumps, bounces and Hyper-dashes allow her to reach all sorts of new places.  The Blossom Blaster lets Alruna to shoot, and to bounce on her projectiles for an extra boost. Elemental power-ups can turn her into Fire Alruna, Water Alruna, Thunder Alruna and maybe more. Climbing Vines can grow from any surface. Bosses fill the whole screen, mini-bosses hide behind every corner. Entire hidden areas can be found under any innocuous rock. Everything is connected!

Swan Song | June 4th
Business Goose Studios

Swan Song is a cozy puzzle game that invites you to slow down, listen, and reflect. Set inside a magical music box, each puzzle asks players to place notes on a musical scale. When you turn the key, the composition plays, activating platforms and opening paths that guide a small swan to safety.

Each puzzle is a piece of music waiting to be written. Place musical notes on your scale. Their position determines which platforms activate when the melody plays. Once you’ve composed your solution, turn the key and let the music guide the swan through the level. Perfect timing and thoughtful placement are the keys to success. Between puzzles, a touching narrative slowly unfolds, revealing the story of the music box’s creator and the family it was made for.
