After spending some extensive hands-on time with CleanFall, it became instantly clear why this game snagged my Best Demo Award for 2024. I genuinely didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but I quickly fell in love with it and found myself unable to put it down. If you haven’t added this gem to your wishlist yet, you’re definitely missing out.

Created by a young and talented one-man dev team, Ethan Brown, CleanFall offers a fresh take on the survival rogue-lite genre. The game prizes player freedom and creativity, allowing you to build your own mobile death machines to fend off hordes of relentless enemies. Crafting and alchemizing gun turrets while tunneling through subterranean ecosystems filled with nameless horrors is thrilling, and the gameplay flows so seamlessly that I found myself completely immersed in the chaotic fun. One of the most striking aspects of CleanFall is its unique art style, which brilliantly combines whimsical elements with a dark and immersive atmosphere. This distinctive design adds depth to the gameplay, making every encounter feel exciting and fresh.
