Just two months after they launched the Xeno Arena update, that brought pokemon-like battles to No Man’s Sky, Hello Games is back giving the NMS community more to love. Check out the trailer below for The Swarm.

New update and expedition “The Swarm” launches today on all platforms. This update brings a new enemy to the universe of No Man’s Sky, The Hive of Glass. This mysterious being is out to destroy travelers at any cost. Team up with the community in one of three factions to fend off the Swarm’s infection of the universe.

Confront a new threat to the universe in update 6.4, The Swarm. The Traveller soul is fragmented, and something terrible hangs in the sky. Battle swarms of elite agile ships, face off against the huge, formidable Hive of Glass, and strategise with other players to construct the technology to defeat it.

It’s insane that we’re still getting updates for No Man’s Sky but I’m 100% here for it. I have a feeling that something much bigger is in store for us in August, where No Man’s Sky will officially be a decade old.

Full patch notes can be found here!

Matt is a sucker for stupid hard platformers. If he didn't have a family he would spend 100% of his time trying and failing to speed run Super Meat Boy. He enjoys long walks on the beach, defeating the 8 robot masters, and has a soft spot for indie games.
