Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games has announced that its latest title, Mina the Hollower, has officially crossed 500,000 copies sold.
Sharing the news on social media, the indie studio thanked fans for “playing, sharing, reviewing, streaming, and believing in our haughty little mouse.” Half a million players have now descended into the pixelated depths of Tenebrous Isle, and if you’ve spent any time with Mina, you know exactly why it’s resonating.
Mina the Hollower combines a haunting gothic world with challenging, methodical combat that feels just as inspired by Bloodborne as it does by the classic top-down adventures of the Game Boy era, and I’m beyond thrilled to see it finding the audience it deserves.
Now quit digging through your backlog and go get burrowing.
