Just weeks after launch, Mouse: P.I. for Hire has already become one of 2026’s biggest indie success stories, selling roughly 730,000 copies across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Publisher PlaySide says the game has generated an estimated $21.4 million in revenue since releasing in April, fully recouping all development, publishing, and marketing costs in under a month. Not bad for a debut title from Fumi Games!

I only started playing the game last week because IGN gave it a 6/10 and I figured there was no way it could actually be that bad. Turns out? The game rules. The shooting feels great, the presentation is incredible, and the whole thing has this chaotic old-school energy that’s impossible not to love. After playing it myself, I’m not remotely surprised it’s become such a massive hit already.

Now. Go play it. Seriously.
